1. An in game bully? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Originally by: Coruso Malefactor but my question is this: what can I do? You have killrights on him, run some locators and go blow up his ship when he least expects it. You could even get a friend to provide remote repairs for you while...

2. Overspend to do L4s, or keep grinding L3s? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Edited by: Dian''h Might on 11/05/2011 07:23:43 You can do just about any L4 with a dual rep domi and 4 mission specific hardeners. There's no need for "perfect" skills. You'd don't even need to be "cap stable", just as long as you can permaru...

3. Noob mission question - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
In theory, no, but on occasion they will anyway. Keeping your drones on passive all the time is generally a good idea as they'll act less crazy that way. - - - Dian'h Might - C&Ps resident "internet kleptomaniac"

5. PvE vs. PvP fitting - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Originally by: Lost Greybeard Things you only need in PvP: - Warp core stabilizers In a running situation, WCS are almost worse than useless. In a fighting situation they're a self fulfilling prophecy. 9/10 times you're better off: a...

Originally by: Rand Althar ganking - too much non consensual pvp. Its not so much that i mind suicide ganking or piracy as careers. Its more that without the help of a large corp... You have very little recourse. Bounty system really sucks...

7. So, Eve University denied me... now what should I do? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Originally by: Lady Go Diveher Once you've got the hang of fitting your ship and running level 1-3 missions, you're in a better place to form up with a PVP group that accepts newer players. Many groups will take you on. Also remember to...

8. Moving around - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
When I played actively and was involved in lots of wardecs, I kept a good sized assortment of combat ships scattered over a few key systems near the areas we'd base out of. The cheaper the ship, the more duplicates I'd make of it to scatter around...

Originally by: Lady Go Diveher Seriously, you're better off without them. Their "by the numbers carebear" version of EvE is a mere shadow of what the game can offer. This tbh. - - - Dian'h Might - C&Ps resident "internet kleptomaniac"

10. So, Eve University denied me... now what should I do? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
There's no reason you can't learn to play eve on your own or with a group of people equally as new as you. In fact, that's probably even preferable to joining eve uni. Everyone I knew who went through there was taught how to play eve like a mindle...

11. Soooo Frusterated - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Optimal range is really just telling you the max distance (or optimal + falloff if you want to be pedantic about it). Tracking is what you want to look at for the minimum range. - - - Dian'h Might - C&Ps resident "internet kleptomaniac"

14. Armor tanking fittings; help needed - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
To fly a catalyst in a L1 you need to fit rails and kite everything. Your damage and range is your tank, so "support skills" in that case would be gunnery. Fitting two small reps will give you the same amount of armor repair as a single medium an...

15. Why is the game fun? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
What makes this game fun is the sandbox interaction with other players. The three obvious illustrations of this are 0.0 politics, mercenary corps, and scamming. If you play this like a msorpg then yes, you will get bored. - - - Dian'h Might - C&...

19. Good combat ship class to learn to "market" oneself to decent corp? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
